Snowed in for Christmas review

Sarah Morgan is an author I have found I can always trust to write a festive book with all the Christmassy feelings that I can get lost in. The first Sarah Morgan book I read was Snowed in for Christmas in 2022 which I loved and have reread yearly since.

Snowed in for Christmas follows both the Miller siblings, Ross, Alice and Clemmie, who all have secrets they are trying to hide from their family and Lucy who is dealing with a Christmas on her own and potentially losing her job so is determined to get business from Ross. When she goes to deliver a proposal to his family home however she is mistaken for Ross’s girlfriend and by the time she can leave she is snowed in and stuck in Scotland with the Millers for Christmas.

There are so many parts of this book that I love and each time I read the book I find more things that I love and my enjoyment grows.

I love spending time with all of these characters and for different reasons too. Nanna Jean has to be my favourite character in the whole book. She has some of my favourite scenes and always makes me laugh so much but is a great addition to the story and support for the other characters.
We get the perspective of a lot of our characters in the book and that is really well done. By getting the perspectives of so many of the characters it feels like you really get to know both the characters and the story.

Lucy is a really special character to follow and by following her we really get to know the Miller siblings and see the family as an outsider. Lucy’s story in this book is probably up there as one of my favourite stories and character developments that we follow in the book.

Clemmie’s is probably my other favourite story that we follow and the way Nanna Jean tackles that really lets her sine. I would love a book with just Clemmie and Fergus because they have such a special relationship, and I would love to spend as much more time as possible with this family. Clemmie also has a lot that she deals with in the book and that just adds to the cozy family feeling that Snowed in for Christmas is full of.

That being said I love this entire story so much and everything about it. There is such a special family and festive feeling that comes with the story and due to that I love rereading this book in December and I think that I’m now going to make this a yearly thing because I love kicking off my festive feelings with the Miller family. It truly gets me into the festive feeling.

If you couldn’t tell from this review I absolutely love this book and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a cosy festive read. In my festive book ranking this is definitely one of the top festive books that I have read since I started tracking my reading.

The Christmas Book Club book review

I read a Sarah Morgan Christmas book during Advent last year and as soon as I heard about this book I knew I had to read it and the timings for it worked out perfectly for me to read about 15 pages a day during December until Christmas Eve when I finished it. This isn’t a romance book as such but it still has all the feels that the Christmas romance books do. The story follows four different women and has their POVs throughout, Hattie owns the inn, and Anna, Erica and Claudia meet up every year for a book club holiday. There is such a cosy feel in this book and I just loved reading it. The friendship between Anna, Erica and Claudia is so strong and I’d love to have a friendship like that, they are there for each other no matter what and each brings something different to the table. They are all going through something during the book and need each other’s support and that support really is perfect. Also by the end of the book, they have all grown as people especially when faced w...

The Match book review

Back in April I was recommended my first Sarah Adams book and really enjoyed it however it wasn’t my favourite type of romance book so when I saw this one had been rereleased and was 99p on Kindle I knew that I needed to read it.  The Match follows Evie who works for a company that trains service dogs to help people with all sorts of disabilities after her life was changed when she got a service dog to help with her epilepsy and when she meets Jacob when trying to convince him how much a service dog would help his daughter she begins to fall for him and his small family.  This was such a light brilliant romance that I just wanted to read and continue to be immersed in the story for as long as I could. I loved all of our major characters particularly Evie, Jacob and Sam (Jacob's daughter). Sam just added the best things to the story and the romance going on between Evie and Jacob. She was also a brilliant character on her own that you really felt for and you just underst...

The Off-Limits Rule book review

I discovered Sarah Adams in early 2024 after it was recommended to me on Bookstagram and while she wasn’t originally an author I was sure about, however as I read more from her I fell in love with her books and she definitely became a favourite auto-buy author. My last traditionally published backlist series I had to read going into 2025 was It Happens in Nashville duology, the first book being The Off-Limits Rule.  The Off-Limits Rule follows Lucy who has moved her and her son back in with her brother who has made it clear that his best friend, Cooper, is off-limits to her however Lucy has gotten a different impression of Cooper to what Drew has told her about him and maybe it’s okay to break the rule sometimes, right? As soon as I started this book I was reminded of exactly why I love Sarah Adams books so much. I was invested in Lucy’s character and hooked by the story. I enjoyed all of the characters and found it to be a book that I could not put down.  The romance w...
