Finally a five stars.
Finally a five stars, that's how I started my review and it's true. Supernova is the fourth Marissa Meyer book I've read and my first five stars.
I have kept this review free of spoilers for Renegades, Archenemies, and Supernova.
Supernova is the final book in the Renegades trilogy, which is a YA fantasy, dystopian series about a world with superheroes. The series follows Nova a prodigie, someone with special abilities, an Archanist and someone firmly against the Renegades, the prodigies who lead society.
The main characters of Supernova are Adrian and Nova, just like the previous two books but in Supernova I would say many of the side characters start to take shape and take on their own role.
To me Marissa Meyer's characters always feel real and likeable, this book is no exception, though Nova did do somethings that really annoyed me but I understood why she did it even if I didn't agree with what she was doing.
There was a lot I liked about this book, some of my favourite parts being Adrian and Nova's relationship and anything Max was in, I think he may be my favourite character to be honest. While there were things that annoyed me and some of my pet peeves were definitely in this book there was nothing major I disliked, it was all the odd little thing here and there.
I do just want to talk about that epilogue, Marissa Mayer has to be writing at least one more book, she can't leave us like that.
I would highly recommend this series to any YA fantasy or dystopian reader and would happily give it to a younger (probably around 11+) reader, it is clean and action packed with nothing that would put me off giving it to an eleven year old. A book deserving of 5 stars.
I think this length will be the length of my reviews from now on, I really struggle to writing longer reviews.
